Question in one of the books i have.

A workspace includes exposed (non - grounded) live parts operating at 300v to ground. If these exposed live parts are found on both sides of the work space, the minimum clear distance is __________ Feet.


A. 3 B.4
C. 3 1/2 D. 4 1/2


Looks to me that the answer is 5ft, what am i missing??

110.34 is part of Section III - over 600 volts..
110.26 is for voltages 600 volts and less

HI Bob, I am looking at tabel 110.26(A)(1) right now, and how I am reading it is that the minimum clear distance is 4 ft, based upon the voltage you have given, and that you are in condition 3. I could be wrong, but this is how I understand what I am reading. What book are you getting this question from if you don't mind my asking?

I get 4 ft also.
