Somebody can help me.
What is the working clerance for ceiling mounted mechanical equipment that has electrical controls mounted on them.
Do I need 3ft clearance, if yes why. How does it help when you are on top of a ladder. I know 110.26 do not differentiate floor mounted or ceiling mounted. Is there any exception to this rule for ceiling mounted units. I provided clearance as required by the manufacturer which is 2-ft. Electrical inspector says it should be 3ft per 110.26.
Thanks
