Working clearances for DC circuits/equipment

Ref: Chapter 1, Table 110.26(A)(1), Chapter 9, Table 11B
Do minimum clearances as described in 110.26(A)(1) , i.e. 3ft for “0-150 Nominal Voltage to Ground” still apply if the device/circuit fallsunder Table 11B, Class 2 Direct CurrentPower Source Limitations, Inherently Limited Power Source, over 20 and through30V?
Can 30” be used in lieu of 36” under these conditions?

See 110.26(A)(1)(b)
Low Voltage. By special permission, smaller
working spaces shall be permitted where all exposed live
parts operate at not greater than 30 volts rms, 42 volts
peak, or 60 volts dc.

Special permission means you have to ask your AHJ.
