I'm mounting a 200 amp panel in an electrical room (closet). I understand the 3' clearance needed in front of the equiptment, However the depth of the room (closet) is just over 2'. The GC on the job is going to install wide bi-fold doors, that when opened give me my 30" wide clearance needed, plus my 3' out front. Is this situation ok, or is 3' needed reguardless if the doors are opened or closed? Thanks guys, Rob

Just be sure that the door frame including the stops actually provides the requisite 30 inch by 78 inch opening. That usually means a minimum 32 by 80 inch nominal door frame.
