Working Overseas

I'm at a point in my life where a change would be welcomed. I have always heard about tradesmen going to work for overseas contractors and making the big bucks. I'm wondering what that market may hold for electricians? Is there a lot of re-building going on in Iraq or Afganistan? I know at least recently that the Middle East was booming and I wonder who's wiring all those high rises in Quatar? Anyone have any insight to what's going on over either pond?

I guess my post got lost? Anyway, they were going gangbusters when I was over there a couple years ago. I know some other tradesmen that are still there, so I don't think much has changed. I'd have given anything to have some hardcharging electricians and generator mechs in my area. Feel free to PM if you want more scoop. I think I've noted some posters that are probably over there now.
