Would cb trip ?

If there are 3 phase wire feeds from the main switchgear[ build #1]to other buildings on the site and the fourth wire is a neutral and the site grounding grid is attached to the ground bar in panel [build.#2] , should the neutral and grid be insulated from each other there ?
Also would the feeding cb from [build.#1]trip on any fault going to [build.#2 ]?
or would not having the egc back to the main prevent the cb from tripping ?
I hope I explained this correctly. 480 V. 500a pvc conduit.

Yes.

Not on "any" fault... but it would on overcurrent faults.

Not having a feeder EGC would eliminate the main low-resistance ground-fault path on the load side of the feeding ocpd, including all circuits in the fed building.
