wrong ignitor in new lights ?

We have a HPS 150watt wall pack that I installed. When I powered it up it didnt work. I checked to see that the voltage was correct at the fixture,it was,but then noticed that the ignitor said for metal halide ballast only, the ballast says for HPS only. As far as I know the the two are not interchangeable but I wanted to verify with the experts before I raise heck with the distributor. We have about 30 of these and I havent checked any others yet. I believe the lights are RAB and I'm sure the ballast and ignitor are universal brand. Thanks in advance

Root through the rest and check them before going any further. Then take any incorrect ones back and check the replacements before signing for them.
