WV Electrical Apprentice exam

I'm a Web Developer by trade, but I've been working off and on for 10 years with a good friend who is a Master here in WV on weekend jobs. I even helped him in studying for the Masters exam quite a bit. Now he is getting enough calls from his side business that he is considering quitting the day job and making it legit. Time for me to get legit to be working with him occasionally too.
I read that the Apprentice test for WV is questions from the NEC. Does anyone know what areas I should review to make sure I dont miss anything stupid before taking this test?

Chapters 1 through four need to be thoroughly understood. Wiring methods for different raceways etc is important. I work in a Federal Prison with a training program for inmates interested in their apprentice license. Those that take practice exams routinely score better than those that don't so I would recommend practice tests. Good luck.

Thanks so much for responding. I will study the first four carefully. Do you know of any sources of practice tests for this exam? If not, I guess I'll do all the Journeyman practices I've found and not be hard on myself for missing those outside those chapters. Looks like I might be taking this test in just over 2 weeks so I've got a bit of studying to do.

Well, took the WV apprentice test this morning. It indeed covered information from all over the first four chapters. I had trouble finding a couple of the questions that I didn't know outright. My advice for anyone taking this test after me is tab and highlight those first four real well. Some of the questions I had were rather obscure. Thanks again for the info wxstevens. Now I just need to figure out how to get enough weekend work with my buddy to get my hours up enough to take the Journeymans.
