Wye Systems

Does code allow operation of a 480V WYE system without a neutral? There are no 277V single phase loads present in the system. All single phase is 120V and is derived from 480D-208Y transformers. I don't want to install the neutral because of the extra copper, there is a 500ft run to a subpanel here. I intend to ground the center of the WYE for clearing ground faults.

Not required if you ground the Xo and use OCPD.
