I was talking to one of my inspectors last week about wiring in a dental office. I'm not even sure how this came up. I think I may have mentioned the empty 2" conduit that goes from the head wall to the foot of the chair and he said to make sure I don't use pvc. It has to be steel. I've looked through 517 and the only thing I could find was 517.60 and 61 that refers to hazardous and above hazardous locations (anesthesia). Anyone know what he was referring to when he said the conduit under the floor going to the foot of the chair has to be steel?
Thank you.
