I have a 100 amp shunt trip 3 phase breaker. It is fed from a 200 amp switch in the main switchgear, that has 100 amp fuses with adapters. The switch was a spare. According to 250.24 (C) do I have to run a neutral to the disconnect even if the X-Ray doesn't require one. If so do you treat the disconnect like a service and have to run a ground to building steel? A service is defined as the conductors and equipment for delivering electric energy from the serving utility to the wiring system of the premises served. Would the serving utility be the main switch gear and the premises served be the X-Ray equipment.
