Does anyone have any information that would help to determine the size of an industrial control transformer:

Coils for starters, 24V power supplies & etc....

All step down to 120V, that is higher voltage to....

Specific calculation procedures would be appreciated.
 
Not to hijack your thread, but another option to consider is to just use a power supply that runs off the line voltage.
We have a built a lot of control cabinets and none use a transformer.
