Anyone ever install spring isolators on the both trapeze and floor mounted?
How are they installed? I believe the ceiling one go on the threaded rod?

Yes we've installed both types. Hanging ones go on the rod. Floor mount ones sit on the floor.

Any special steps when installing on the floor as far as slab/pad being poured?
Nothing special. Pour the pad and sit the transformer on it. We install these isolators on the transformer, then set up some dunnage and roll it right onto the pad with a pallet jack.

No need to secure the xformer to the pad, even in earthquake areas?
The isolators in the picture appear to be bolted to studs coming out of the concrete. (Although very small ones)
No reason I can see not to drill the holes and use TapCon or similar after the xformer is in place.

We secure some of them like the one in the photo. Not required around here to secure them. Most of the time we just sit them unmounted on waffle pads.

This is our typical installation practice. We have had jobs where they specified seismic protection for hung transformers.
