How often do you guys find transformers are supplied with the lugs? I find 1/2 my vendors say yes and the half half no. Weird. Obviously a manufacturer thing.

It often depends on the type. For crimp on terminals the conductor size/number needs to be known. For mechanical lugs which have a wide range of conductor sizes it's easier to provide them with the transformer.

Usually the specification. The perception is that crimp is better and that they cost more to install.

I rarely find them with lugs supplied. I use grade 8 bolts also when making these connections.
