Xmas gifts?

Just planning ahead & thinking/rethinking Xmas gifts.

So what do you do for Xmas gifts for ...
Employees?
Supply house salesmen?
Loyal customers?
Realtors or property managers?
Subs/GC's/designers/ or others that frequently refer you?

What about Xmas Cards?

I ussually send Mike Holt forum members who's moniker starts w/ Jlj a check for several thousand dollars and say the heck with the rest of the list. : )

In all seriuosness this time, our company has a profit sharing program and those checks are distributed in December every year. Makes it feel like a christmas bonus to me. For our GC's etc, we usually send out some type of fruit baket, specialty candy assortment, or something of that nature.

One 40hr bonus check for employees, box of cookies/candy for all employees @ the local POCO (about 30), I take the GCs to dinner (one at a time), salespeople give ME gifts and I offer to have sex w/ my secretary.

Workers from other trades that I work around often, get a volt tic from me. When I had employee's they got cash bonus's at Christmas. An AC contractor I worked with alot , I gave him a Millwaulkee pipe tristand vise cause they didn't have one and were cutting lots of large copper pipes all the time. This year I think I am giving out exploding trash cans from Rack-A-Tiers, cause everbody loves mine.

They are cool, everyone I know wants mine too. That company makes some really good stuff.

All my employees get bonuses. In the past we have bought gifts for our better customers. The past 2 years, and this year as well we throw a party at a function room at a restaurant. We invite employees and families, our regular customers, and some friends. Dinner, entertainment, and open bar. It's been an overwhelming success. Usually about 80 people. Although it seems to be growing each year. The count this year will be a bit higher. We do it on a Friday night so it doesn't really interfere with other weekend plans for everyone.

I have one of those thrash cans too. But they are not specific to rack a tiers and i saw one at a customers house and she got it at Walmart. The rack a tier salesman at one of the local supply house demos said they were not made for rack a tier but they do resell them.

I am not surprised any party with an open bar is an overwhelming success. :)

Yeah, when they give me the bill it is broken down for food total and booze total. It's about 4 times more for the booze than the food.:) And this year there will be about 10 more people invited as I've been working for more good GC's in the past year. Most of which I've been friends with for some time.

As much fun as everyone has had, nobody has really gone overboard, if you know what I mean.

It's a good night for the bartender too.
