If I want to write a proposal that affects several sections, do I have to submit one for each section?

What I am referring to is various cables, such as the following:

320.30 Securing and Supporting.
(A) General. Type AC cable shall be supported and secured
by staples, cable ties, straps, hangers, or similar fittings,
designed and installed so as not to damage the cable.
330.30 Securing and Supporting.
(A) General. Type MC cable shall be supported and secured
by staples, cable ties, straps, hangers, or similar fittings
or other approved means designed and installed so as
not to damage the cable.

Just curious, by other approved means what did you have in mind, tie wire? Also I would remove the word or from before similar fittings because it becomes redundant.

The red part already exists for MC and MI cable, yet does not appear in the requirements for AC and NM. I was going to propose that it be deleted, since there is no need for that one difference.

For practical purposes, it's best to submit to each Section separately, especially if they might go to different CMPs (CMPs hate to have their toes stepped on) If you do make a single Proposal, make sure it only affects one CMP or your Proposal risks rejection by multiple CMPs. One rejection trumps 19 acceptances from the other CMPs.
