Dear Tom Baker, yes my replacement receptacles are tamper resistant and if I was going to replace any of the GFCI receptacles that are in the kitchen or bathroom I would replace them with the same GFCI receptacle.

But your kitchen receptacles are required to be AFCI and GFCI. This is the reason why we do not allow DIY posts per the forum owners requirements.
