Guy calls me the other day. Hears from a guy I have done work for that I am reasonable and the right guy for the job. He has a 18 unit apartment building that he is rehabing. needs the power back on in 13 of the units since they have been off for more than a year the POCO here require a licensed EC to inspect and tag each meter. I told him that would be $1000.00 he didn't like my price and haggled with me. In this discussion I told Him there were a lot of EC's he could call another he said he had and every one was the same or Higher and he wanted me to do it for less. Then he said this, "I've got a couple electricians who do work for me and their good but they are not licensed and can't tag the meters so I need a licensed electrician to do it."
Now why does he think I would lower my price when he just finished telling me I wouldn't be doing any of the other work. I informed him that he could get in a lot of trouble here in Indy having unlicensed guys doing work in his building and hoped his insurance company didn't find out that was happening.
