Do they split to put in the wire coil, and does a rod pass through the center?

The 2 halves unscrew from each other in the center, fully extended will hold 250' MC 12/4. The center is hollow maybe 7/8" i.d., I'm not saying these are perfect, just the best thing I found so far.

Well, that suits 1/2" EMT. I found them for $7 ea, and they come in boxes of 8, which sounds like a convenient quantity. Let's see:

14-2 NM
14-3 NM
12-2 NM
12-3 NM
10-2 NM
10-3 NM
12-2 MC
12-3 MC

Well, that's one box. What else?

8-2 NM
8-3 NM
6-2 NM
6-3 NM
1/2" FMC
3/4" FMC
1/2" LFMC
3/4" LFMC

That's two. I don't think I'd need more than that on reels.

Any ideas?

I will agree, as I am constantly re-arranging my Chevy G20 van. It has has some built in wooden shelves, but was originally set up for a local plumbing shop. I like some of the photos there with the custom door shelf unit to fit the Dewalt cordless stuff. I know there's a ton of steel shelving options out there also. I just haven't decided which would be best for my current vehicle (and to fit into the next work van)...
