I agree- I have had trouble with motion sensors and CFL but not sure why it is tripping the GFCI. Does a standard bulb trip it?

This is one of two Coach Lights on the Garage.
I should be able to check with different bulbs tomorrow.
I was thinking that the CFL's could be the problem.

Just talked with my customer and he has changed to standard bulbs and it appears to have taken care of the problem. He is going to run some more experiments over the next few nights to confirm results.

Thanks to all.

I think my garage lights are on GFCI and they are motion detectors, but not soft starts like outside. Just for grins I think I will put some CFL's in them to see what happens. If I can duplicate the issue I will have something to measure and hopefully some better info.
