I have a Cutler/hammer 15A AFCI breaker on a bedroom circuit that runs a few lights and about 4 outlets that just started tripping on me. I first assumed that this was due to my computer powering up as I would reset the breaker, turn the PC on and a minute later the breaker would trip. I swapped out the power strip that it was using with a new one and this fixed the issue for about a day. The breaker tripped again last night when the only thing plugged into the breaker was the PC, monitor, an alarm clock, and a phone charging. I reset the breaker one more time and had no issues until this morning when I woke up and turned on the bedroom lights with no other appliances on. This then caused the breaker to trip and I had multiple trips for about 4 minutes and then the system went back to working normally. I'm stumped as to what could be causing the issue. This is a newly ran circuit that was inspected about 5 months ago, and there fore has a 5 month old breaker, so I don't think that is the source.
To add insult to injury, another breaker tripped when I turned on the entry way light to go downstairs and flip the breaker on. This only tripped once, and then was fine once reset. This is also a 15A H/C AFCI.
Any ideas?
