I know one thing, by using the dedicated power factor for equipment we can minimize the voltage drop as well as the wire size because the branch current will be less when adding the capacitors. But do we really have saving in power when using that device. Since we add the capacitor bank at the main panel only asper utility requirements.

Not to any measurable degree. To see any real savings, you would need the power factor correction located at a significantly large piece of equipment, located a long way from the meter, and with a significant percentage of running hours. All this also assumes the equipment has a displacement power factor worth correcting.

For correction at the meter, avoiding bill penalties is about all you get.
