406.12 (5) TR receptacle verses 517.18 (C) TR COVER

Has anyone seen use of the TR Cover instead of the TR receptacle? I actually wasn't aware that the cover was an option until I reread over the section in the 2020 code

I was also wondering why the option not in 406.12 (5)

517.18 (C) gives the option of using the cover instead of the receptacle in pediatric general care

not the necessary the same locations as 406.12 (5)

it seems like the option should be allowed in 406.12 (5) since 517.18 (C) allows it

I have not yet seen the option used in the field yet.
