So basically your position is one of the following:

1. That the mandate of AFCIs is a mass conspiracy perpetuated by Eaton, Schneider Electric, Siemens, etc., in conjunction with the IAEI and other members of the CMP
2. That the mandate of AFCIs is a mass conspiracy by the manufacturers and the IAEI and CMP members are fools and/or are payed off by the manufacturers

Mass conspiracies are illogical and highly unlikely, but it seems that this is what you're implying. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So you are saying the history of the human race there has never been a conspiracy or at least some incentive? :lol:

The most valid argument against them is that the manufacturers lied about having a combination AFCI device available years before they actually brought one to market.

They lied and said a branch AFCI will do the same as what a combination AFCI does now. The lied that AFCIs are something special when GFP passes most of the UL1699 tests, and believe it or not when UL tested over driven staples it was found everything took place line to EGC making the parellel arc theory hold no ground.
