Where did they pull this 60 amp idea from ?Could your unit run off a 30 amp 2 pole switch ?They are about 10 bucks plus cover and deep bell box.Your dealing with an ID 10 T problem ,good luck

60a nf pullout is way cheeper that a box and a 30 2p switch and a cover and a lot eaiser to wire.

I know that but he is dealing with an issue about equipment.Personally i think he needs to go to the top and get them to think

It seems like 110.26(E) , the exception, allows your installation.

Also, Did this EI pass the switches located under the kitchen

cabinets, they are also equipment without 6'6" working space.
