Really? Seems like it was not long ago. But I guess 1999 like I suggested was 11 years ago, also a long time ago after thinking about it.

At this rate 2020 code will be here before long and we will be wishing that things were less complicated like the 2008 code was:)

True most can. I turned down a job because of this very thing. EC was able to turn main over. The irony of this is by having it upside down the Main was at the top.

I had to do the same thing on a replacement main, it was a backfeed 400 amp main, and when one of my guys installed it, they didn't notice that the lugs were on the wrong end. The inspector did though, espescially when they took a sharpie and marked "ON" and "OFF" in big black letters on the panel cover.
