According to the 2005 NEC handle ties or two pole breakers are required only for those mwbc serving devices on yokes.
It appears the changes in the code in recent years regarding the identification of mwbc is intended to protect personnel.
However, why has no one seen the need to identify mwbc in order to insure they are properly installed and maintained?
