Confucius says "Since Dc don't work like AC, it don't matter."

This is one my standard new sales engineer hire questions... MOST get it wrong!!!!!!!!!!! "Take a set of jumper cables, hook them to your car battery, put them into the primary of a 120V 1ph to 24v transformer, what will the output be?" Sad.
Most of our sales engineers are MEs or IEs, only a few of us are EEs and I'm no longer a salesman. The problem is, EEs can make more money by being bit twiddlers now so they don't want to go into sales, nor are most of them even paying attention in power related classes. Most of the college interns that get assigned to me for their rotations through the company are the few EEs that come on board, but I would venture to guess that they would get that question wrong too.

One of them recently referred to 120VAC as "high voltage"... :slaphead:
