What's your favorite "in use cover" that looks decent, and is durable. I'm having a problem finding one, that I'm not ashamed to put on a customer's house. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, Steve...

I refuse to put the crappy plastic ones on a comercial building. Wouldn't last a month. Recently saw some at a parking garage at an airport. Guess what, crappy plastic cover broken off.

First metal ones I found were by intermatic so I was specifing those. http://www.intermatic.com/?action=subcat&sid=99

I complained to the P & S rep who recently sent me a sample of their new cast cover: http://www.passandseymour.com/pdf/R04.pdf This is what I specify now.

You would not believe how many crappy plastic bubbles I find during inspections. Read the specs....

I use Taymac as all my installations are commerical or industrail, retrofit, no new construction. I also like the Taymac as you install the cover plate first and then the cover. And you can swap or replace the covers.

Hmmm, I see they make a metal cover. Also it looks like there are suppliers on the internet, make them easier to find

Sceepe, thanks for the input about Pass & Seymor brand. It looks good and looks durable. Now I have 2 to choose from, the Taymac one and this one. A new supply house recently opened that carries the Pass and Seymore recpts. It shouldn't be hard for them to get this one for me. Thanks a bunch. There is still hope after all. I was beginning to wonder.
Also just went to the Intermatic site you sent. That one looks good too. I'll do more checking. Wonder why none of the supply houses around here don't get some of these? I'll have to push the idea. Do you have to order directly from intermatic for these? Thanks again. Steve..
