The reason for my question in post #4 is, if a ceiling contractor is going to be installing new wires I would ask them for a price to install your new hangers as well.

The only item that was left hanging, was the light fixtures.

Forgot to mention ... by the electrical wires, not support wires.

I agree. Inserts for MC probably not going to be cost effective.

My state allows using the ceiling support wires to support electrical wires associated with items in the ceiling. That's a huge benefit. The job I'm doing now has a 15' difference from ceiling to building structure.
