I concur...they also made it heavier and bulkier than when it was round. But I guess by eliminating the twisting process it washes out the added cost of some of the other changes they made (the pull string and the extra plastic in the jacket)

I've gotten the flat 12/3. I like the round better because it always looks good, now with the flat wire it takes more labor to get the same (or close) good looking job.

I just stick it in stak-its anyhow... how nice does it really need to be?

I actually like the flat wire, much easier to put two wires under 1 staple not like the old round stuff, and the sheath strips off in seconds... but as others have stated, the rip cord needs to go bye bye....

The wire I picked up looks like the jacket does not fit the conductors. To tell you the truth I didn't even look at the price, just looked in my wallet and Boy do they beat you over the head 12/3 27.85 14/3 20.65
