NM buried in chase in gypcrete floor

The OP said it was NM-B, not NMC or UF.
Dude....the responses were suggestions on how to use UF in his case where Type NM could not be used within the example given.....:angel:

We don't spin ..
The issue I bring up is that you need to follow the rule including that for NMC where installed in a shallow chase, and where it must be coverd not just plated.
It looks to me like one can use UF but is must be plated AND coverd with the gypcrete or similar material. For some odd reason they don't want you to place a plate and just paint it.
I do not understand why the NEC would care how pretty the end result is.
