If I was the customer that $89 fan install then wind up at $750 would make me MAD. I just

don't like that "get your foot in the door approach" Most people IMO would rather know from

the start what this fan is going to cost. My .02 cents

The guys doing that all let the customers, know what it will cost, before they do the work they are there to install a fan not do additional work without getting paid, and someone looking for free extra work is out of luck.

I think your price for the work was about right for our area..(San Antonio, TX) 10hr @ $105 + 200 mat. - But permit fee and sales tax would have added another $150 or so to the total. Your customer got a fair price for the work performed in my opinion.
