I'll let it go. I have tremendous respect for you charlie and don't want to contaminate that.

The IBC and LSC were melded in recent code cycles and I envision that happening on this issue one day as well. What it boils down to is when permanently installed equipment becomes part of the building. I would guess the LSC addresses this issue but I'm not going to dig into that; logic here is they are both NFPA publications.
