100 hp fire pump

100 Hp fire pump. about 20' from controller. 208v 3 phase. 280 amps. Would you run 500 mcm or 2 sets of 3/0 in 1- 3"emt. Pump has 1- 3' knockout

How is the fire pump controller set up? Can it accept parallel conductors? We usually see them as WYE start/Delta run which require 6 conductors to the pump.

Yes double lugs on controller and pump.

do a cost analysis on both and go with the cheaper one. can you use aluminum wire?
