Two Twisted Pairs

Electrician - but not by NC Law.
OK, I have installed in my house two twisted pairs, I know cause I did it and
I also ran another phone line of the second pair, years ago.

My question is how in-expensive is it to turn the second line into a house intercom
or even get the second handset to ring with-in the house?

About a hundred bucks for a cordless phone which can do both.

We have two lines in the house, and we call either one from the other for inetrcom use.
 
Thanks Everybody, I'm just not ready to get that phone line back in service just yet!

Everything seems to a saw buck, and you can tell that I haven't been shopping lately! :)
 
does having cisco IP phones in my house make me a sick individual? (i can even dial a code and get an automated wakeup call :D )
