color of insulation

i just read thoose dnt c where itsays u cant use diffrent color insulation just trying to figure out if this is just his code understanding and beliefs

I know someone here can - I would be interested in what it says....


Starting in 1937, Article 2104:

........three-wire circuits-one black, one white, one red; four-wire circuits-one black, one white, one red, one yellow;five-wire circuits-one black, one white, one red, one yellow;five-wire circuits-one black, one white, one red, one yellow, one blue."

he said if another electrician sees yellow in a switch for lights hes gonna think its 277

:confused:

Who cares what the other electrician "thinks" - he's going to have to test it in any event - as there is no color code - so he will "know".


I'm really curious as to what city this is all happening in...
