SE Ratings for Equipment

We are quoting a generator and MTS for existing business with 600 amp service. CT cabinet and 600 amp MDP are installed back to back. Will the MTS need to be SE rated? I have had differeing opinions over the years but am unable to find NEC reference. Thanks.

I agree with Volta. Your Code reference is basically 230.82. ATS & MTS units are not among the items listed as permissible.
In my experience most MTS are service rated.
