I am on a jobsite that there are 20 purple #14 ga wire pulled from a MCC bucket to a field control station with push buttons and pilot lights.
The neutral which is derived from a control power transformer in the MCC bucket
was pulled to a pilot light in the same bundle of wire and is colored purple.
Is this a code violation or is there an exception for control wiring.
I also would like to know if these 20 wires are counted as current carrying conductors in the raceway, and I need to derate the remaining wire per 310.15?

Take a look at 200.6 Also 200.2 gives some exceptions.

What is the control voltage? It is possible that the neutral is not required to be grounded.

I agree, what is the secondary voltage of this control transformer?

As for the derating take a look at Exception #1 to 310.15(B)(2)(a).
