I am faced with a similar Question;
Can anyone tell me?
If I install a generator on site. With two OCP?s One for Building with shunt trip and the second one for Gen. Set. Sized for Locked Rotor,
Can I eliminate the service feeder from the power company?

I would think not, the generator would be required to a reliable source, which generally is not the case, espescially if utility is available. But then diesel driven fire pumps are used where utility is available, so then again you may be able to.
