I'm not a fan of the staple guns because like someone else said they can only be used 60% of the time. I get annoyed trying to get at rope in certain angles with those things. If you are gonna do a bunch of rope u should make some of these.

I think 110.12 could be applied, and I'd get downright giddy writing 334.30 on the red tag.



If it's sliding all over the place, I'd have a hard time calling it "secured".

Fine line between secured and pinched. I've replaced a few runs of wire where someone got too jolly with the staple driving. I've pulled the staple out & had limp halves of wire fall down, held only by fragments of the jacket.

I couldn't use a stapler in crawl space, as my hands are giving me lots of trouble, aching, cramping, tight fingers, etc. I restapled some insulation the other day. After 20 shots or so, my hands felt beaten with a hammer.

How about nail straps? I like them for service cable & other larger cables. Don't think I've seen any specifically for NM. They are usually easy to drive, even in seasoned lumber and they hold well.
