Some residential plastic boxes have connector. I do believe you can terminate an mc cable in a plastic box as long as the other end is properly bonded to the box.

Here I thought it was a nickname I hadn't heard before, I was pretty certain you were talking about typical non metallic nail on box commonly used with NM cable.
