Just like to say thanks for the support in this situation on the safety to other people.
All was reported to my superior , I was direct and told him twice before he saw the danger in this work . How far he goes with this I don't know but for now it looks positive for these guys to take another look at what needs to be done in these situations. Only time will tell.
You guys have been great with all your inputs and suggestions on this , you all gave me a little more incouragement to speakup. Well maybe we made a differrence here. If there is anything to come from this I'll keep you all informed.
Big thank you to all.

Why do some people in management think that contractors are the answer to the working hot ? . After all the information out there and the information the workers give them they still rather get someone outside the company to do the work. They really think they are doing the right thing by contracting it out so they feel they are absolved from liablity.

I watch young guys doing dangerous work and wonder if they know what is going on. I am tempeted to talk about the dangers with them but have fear of losing my job. Their boss must know, but it must come down to money. He doesn't even supply decent ppe for these guys,

Should i talk to them or leave well enough alone ? Maybe they already know.

around here, if you direct employees, or are responsible for employees being directed to
violate NFPA 70 E, you are criminally liable for injury.

not financially liable, not corporately liable, but PERSONALLY CRIMINALLY LIABLE.

someone dies, it's called manslaughter, reckless disregard leading to the death of a
human being.

it's not a fine paid by the comptroller. it's jail time, paid by YOU. i know personally
of one sixty year old gentleman who did three years at chino, and lost everything
he owned, which was substantial, as the result of gross negligence resulting in
electrocution.

it wasn't a NFPA 70E violation. one of those would be even more slam dunk.

?Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day;
teach that person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.?
Sell a person a fish and you feed them for a day.
Teach a person to fish and you have destroyed your customer base.
