A pool contractor replaced the circulator pump to a larger pump. The new motor is 3 hp 1 phase 240v 16 amp fla.
It is thermally protected so I figure I have that covered.
Reading 680.21 (C)... it mentions GFCI protection for branch circuits feeding pool pump motor outlets rated 15 or 20 amp 120/240v. At 16 amps I fed it with a 30 amp.
Is GFCI still required to that motor?
