It's not code compliant as shown in the photo since it's not connected to the stud with a staple, strap or some other approved method.

Nothing in the code about wrap. Workman like manor on the other hand.
Well the AHJ could approve it but I don't see that happening.
334.30 Securing and Supporting. Nonmetallic-sheathed

Wrapping one NM cable around two others before all three go into the box is a strap?
