Currently having an argument with one of the larger swimming pool installers that the #8 bond to the light fixture is unimportant. He said he will go to his grave saying the rule is stupid.

His company also used a wire nut in a junction box to splice the equipment ground to a 120 volt wet nitch fixture

And why is this person doing electric wiring on a pool?? Is he a licensed electrician?

Not required in this state, He used to sub out the electrical to a electrical contractor.
