Construction installed two, 120VAC branch circuits (20A, 1P CB's) off a local lighting panel to power-up two valves @ 400VA (3.3A), each. These are intermittent, non-continuous loads.
They're using a single 3/4" conduit to route both circuits...4 #12's (+#12 EGC), THHN 600V 90Deg F dry, 75Deg F wet. Indoor temp is constant 72Degs F so there's no ambient derate, but technically there are still, 4 current carrying conductors. Does the 80% derate still apply per Table 310.15(C)(1)? Should they route #10's for this application?
