Does a field installed main lugs have to have retaining clip? SER cable goes to the main lugs in panel. A second SER is also installed using the main lug kit. Does this kit need a retaining screw or clip?
Yes plug in to feed next floorWhat are you trying to do? Paralleling the SER? Or feeding another panel with the second SER? Plug in main lug adapter?
We are adding a plug in main lug kit. this is for a hotel we are rising up 4 floors. Each panel is fed in and out
If it is a plug on type "sub feed lug kit" then make sure your incoming feeder lands on the fixed main lugs and outgoing feeder lands on the plug on kit and you are fine.Hold down clip not needed then, it is treated just like a breaker. If it was backfeeding the panel, then yes, it would need a mechanical means to hold it in.
Use main lugs for supply and sub feed lugs for outgoingIt's a square d hotline panel. The sub feed lug kits don't have a retaining clip
