Anything in NEC 2014 regards to fire sprinkler system? I have project in relation to fire sprinkler modification in commercial building.
Not that I recall. You'll want NFPA 13 for any questions. One thing that can generate a fine fight between the fire sub code official and electrical subcode official is the issue of bonding vs grounding for the sprinkler pipe. The sprinkler pipe can't be deliberately grounded, and act as a return path, but it is supposed to be bonded. Also, you can't run anything on or hang anything from the sprinkler pipe that doesn't have anything to do with the sprinkler system.Anything in NEC 2014 regards to fire sprinkler system? Wow, and I thought NJ was crooked!I had a city in Ohio require a permit for the entire fire sprinkler system, just because we added a generator and transferswitch to the fire pump. They said since we touched the system. Paid them $10,000 at their brand new fancy city hall.........
