I have a step up 75k transformer Primary is protected by 250 amp fuses 120/208v . Single line diagram shows the secondary 480 volt going straight to inverter sunny Tripower core1 with 80 amp nameplate rating. I’m thinking I need some type of ocpd for inverter breaker or fused disconnect thank you

You will need an OCPD for the transformer secondary conductors per 240.21(C). Also the inverter output must terminate on an OCPD. I don't have the code section for that handy, it's either in 690 or 705. Note this will be an SDS, so you need to ground the system
